Parties in the 1600s during the Elizabethan era are very similar to the way we have formal parties today, like during the Elizabethan period the had banquets like we do today. But their banquets are a little different from the ones today, they have the banquet for one specific person, we have it for a lot. Another big party that relates to the book of Romeo and Juliet is a Masquerade. A masquerade is wear people come to this party type thing in costumes and wearing masks. Masquerade balls were very popular during the Elizabethan era. In the 1600s Masquerade balls was the most popular type of parties back then.
